Destruct-o-Match II
Destruct-o-Match(D-o-M) is your basic destroy everything on the screen if at all possible. Personally, I try to leave one color of blocks alone for the very end, so I can get the most points possible out of them. We have, however, had a couple of little tips from those that have decided to grace us with their presence.- mandy - If you type destroyboulders during the game, it will eliminate all boulders of one colour.
- Silvo - If you type "boohooiwanttheoldgameback" on the game mode selection screen, you will launch D-o-M I.
Editor's Note - Keep in mind, that if you play D-o-M I, and send your score, it will count towards the total plays per day for D-o-M II. (protOplasmatic)
This in from angel_ashes25:
If you utilize the block that destroys all of one color, you can increase your score dramatically. (Note from protO: You won't see the increase right away, as that particular removal only counts for the blocks touching it...i.e. 2-6 points. The way it increases your score is because now you have less blocks to get rid of, and more of the same color block are touching, increasing your score when you get rid of them. This goes right back to my original statement, get rid of all color's except for one....)
And this from sweet_mango_ice:
before using the boulder that make all of the other boulders of the same color disapear, get rid of all the groups of that color so you get the benefit of all the point in that color. For example if the boulder that makes the others boulders of the same color is orange, get rid of all the groups of orange before using that boulder. (Note from protO: After thinking about it for a minute, and being thoroughly confused, I would have to agree with Mango on this one. What sweet_mango_ice is saying, is don't go straight for the color destroyer. Instead, find all the groups that exist in that colour, get rid of them (don't touch any other colours though) then, hit the destroyer. You'll end up getting more points this way...slightly more, but more none-the-less)
Thanks Erin for letting us know: Wait to use the "?" block until you've eliminated all the blocks of as many colors as possible. When you use the "?" block, it will only produce blocks of the remaining colors (say, orange and blue). If you leave it for the very last, you could end up with a full line of a single color - big points!
