  • The Turmaculus : It will randomly strengthen your Neopet's petpet or give you items. If you want the avatar, attach a petpet that is cheap and one you can afford to lose. Use one of the "unfriendly" methods like hitting him with a stick and Turmy will eat your petpet. This should give you the avatar. After that, use only friendly methods of waking him up.   • for all of you that have played jubjub power bounce, is there a technique for getting the prize you want? does it really matter how hard you shoot the jubjub or in which direction ro is it all just kinda random?

  • WARNING: i was just hecked/scamed evrything i had in shop and sdb and gallery gone all my neopoints taken, i clicked on a link that was posted in my neomail and it automaticly took my info, was changed lucky i sent for lost info and it sent me info and i changed it, but i feel like giving up i was working so hard to get the Faerie Queen Doll in the hidden tower, and some other things for avvies i dont have yet, dont look like its going to happen, a girl from trading post has donated some food and things i have placed in my shop for like 1np a peice but nothing that will get me to my goal =(

  • nyki28...thankfully you still have your pets and original account! Try playing Key Quest to earn points - counting pure np made and prizes sold, I have earned more than 2 million np in the last month. Good luck :)

  • I emailed with David and got a response from him. Here is what happened. "Kim, Well, I went to a shop to buy a codestone, and when I clicked on it, I was sent to some video and couldn't get out of it, and all my tabs froze. So when I got back on, I sent an abuse report to TNT and my account was frozen right after "for the owner's protection!" That happened Thursday, I think, and I've been writing to them, and submitted a ticket, but I haven't heard anything back. I feel terrible about my account, I just hope I can get it back!!!" It makes me mad that scammers do these kinds of things! People like David that play by the rules lose their accounts and time and even money just so someone else can get their things. Its not fair. This was no fault of David. I don't see how anyone could have seen that coming and prevented it from happening. He is really busy in RL right now but will still be by to take care of things here. I think we should let him know we support him and hope that he will get his account back just like he had it. Also that TNT would be able to move quickly to resolve this abuse. It could happen to anyone of us! I'm so glad David did report it even though its costing him personally.

  • Good luck to David! I was on a neoboard (trades) and someone said they were putting something up for an inexpensive price and i went and clicked on it and it went to an email page... I was puzzled and went back to the board and they were all saying it was a cookie grabber scam and to log off and clear cookies right away! I was very nervous and felt like an idiot, but seriously, it was a neopets board, I clicked on the link provided on the board, and had no idea such scammers existed. I knew about giving out passwords, etc, but I had no idea about that one. Hopefully we will all be careful and learn from these scammers. Seriously, they are jsut pixels but we all work too hard to lose them to an idiot... I hope all gowes well for Magix!

  • I don't think you can access your neopets account at all when frozen. I used the e-mail address for him found on the link to us page.

  • Hi everyone, thanks so much for your support! I was really discouraged when my account was frozen but glad to hear from joyfulkim - she offered to post here for me (thanks Kim!). I didn't want you all to think I had done anything wrong. When I clicked on the item in the scammer's shop, all of the tabs I had open at the time froze. You're right, skateremt, I should have immediately changed my pw, but oddly, I just wasn't thinking scam. I was sent to a video, and when I clicked on it, funny phrases popped up, but I couldn't close it out. I thought it was just a joke. I had to close out my browser, and when I got back on, I immediately wrote to TNT, and was frozen soon after. I can access the contact page and submitted a ticket, also emailed them, but haven't heard anything. I cannot login at all to see the status of the ticket, I just receive a generic message saying I was frozen to protect my account. Like Kim said, I'm busy this week, and going to the National Jamboree next week for ten days, so I'll be out of touch, no electronics. If anyone wants to email me in the meantime, feel free. Hopefully, this will end quickly. Thanks again, hfischb2, Siposoda1, sarahmann29, skateremt, oliweczka1, and Kim, for all of your nice posts, it's a lot easier dealing with this with such great friends! I feel kind of silly getting upset over an online game. And welcome back dragnldy, what a great vacation! BTW, the codestone I chose from the Shop Wizard was priced about 1000 nps less than all the others, so beware. Other than that, I don't know how you would know who's legit and who's not, anyone could set up a scam. The neomail scam nyki28 mentioned, and the neoboard scam Siposoda1 mentioned are both scary because they're just normal activities. It's getting to the point where we won't be able to do anything with anyone but neofriends. I'm taking up a lot of comment space, I'll delete some of the older posts. hfischb2, CONGRATS on the FFQ! Have you decided what you're going to do? Bye, I'll let you all know if I hear from TNT.

  • David, My son is going to the Scout Jamboree. The Vermont trip above was summer camp at Mt. Norris. I had an offer from an ASM in our troop to teach science at the jamboree, but work is a little busy for me having just taken the week off.

  • david, nice to hear from you... it sounds like neopets got to it pretty quickly at least. i would be VERY frusterated if i lost my account for something i didnt do, and i've been on here less than an year. as for my ffq, i'm going to hold off. the only pets currently on my account that i would consider painting would be my eyrie or hissi, though i was kind of planning on using my hissi as a zap pet, and i like ssalome just fine green (though maybe i would paint her desert)... have fun spending time in the real world (i should probably do a bit more of that...)

  • oh dont feel silly for bei upset over a game :P when i got scammed (very stupidly)i didint go on Neopets for 6 months i was soo frustrated (at that time i though 300k was a lot) the annoying things is neopets takes ages to solve problems. best of luck :-)

  • Hello, everyone! Patapon360 and I have been busy and haven't been around, I haven't even done my dailies lately:( I see by the posts that things have taken an ugly turn for David. Patapon360 and I are very sorry to hear about it David, if we can help you just let us know! That's gotta be soooo frustrating, my oldest son had his account hijacked several years ago. He was fairly young at the time so he was an easy target for the scam, but it soured him on NeoPets. He never bothered to start another account. Those of us that are honest work very hard for our points it's infuriating when something like this happens to a great, honest, helpful & fun player like you:) Hopefully no damage has been done to your account and TNT can give it back soon!   • im excited and scared! My cat is getting spayed tomorrow (22nd)!!! :-s shes gonna stay in the vets 24 hours after the surgery :-( Im just wondering how am i goin 2 make her get in the carrier??

  • oliweczka1....it's kind of scary when a pet goes into surgery, even if it is perfectly safe like spaying. I took apart the carrier to get my cat in last time....one time my mom just held her in a towel on the way home. Whatever makes you comfortable. Just keep in mind that she may be a little goofy afterwards, stumbling around and glassy eyed....though with her staying for a whole day she might not be so bad. You might ask the vet to help you get her into the carrier and make sure that there is a soft towel....or even better, something you sleep in the night before, like a t-shirt or a sweatshirt, so she smells you while she's in there. Show her the litterbox and food places again when she gets home, and try to keep company away for a day or two at least. She'll be fine. By the way, kudos to you for fixing your cat. We have enough poor strays that don't have homes :'(

  • ok kitty is bak home now... thanks thecowsmoocher! she has to wear a cone on her head to stop her licking the wound :-( i dont like the cone and she hates it. im still not sur eits on propely but its confuzing. she is acting a bit loopy expecially wihyt the cone on her head :P one minute shes walking normally the other, she hits something wiht her cone and looks around weirdly and stumbles back. the vets gave her 3 packs of special food. im not sure if shes supposed 2 eat them all in 2 day i forgot to ask. i really dont like the shaved fur around her wound. i hope its grows back quickly. and if anyone knows wat a proper cone around cats neck looks like tell me plz.

  • cool! thanks Joyfulkim!!Gah! My computer died AGAIN, i am so technologically dysfunctional! I am happy that I'm finally back in baltimore (back at school), though this means more time studying and less time neopetting :( good job oli, I'm glad your cat made it through the surgery okay. i usually get my pets from the pound who require spaying/neutering before we're even allowed to take the animal home, so i've never been through that sort of situation.

  • oliweczka1 i dont have a cat but we recently got my dog fix and they made him have a cone on his head too i think they all kinda look like lamp shades i felt bad for him cuz he had to wear it for 2 weeks and no ruff playing no baths or swiming, nothing for 2 whole weeks well, the cone lastes 3 days cuz he still managed to lick himself, and i told the vet and they said most cats will find ways too by like pressing up against the wall for support. they told me to put a pair of childrens underwear on him with duct tape around it and it should prevent from licking, but i didnt too much work to remove when he goes outside to the bathroom, i just watched him well. the the end of the first week he was ready to play with his cousin gizzy, and they play ruff, we just took him sat to get stichtes out. they also gave him some pain pills but i didnt see him in pain so i didnt give them to him. he is fine now.

  • The Style Showdown Started!!! and i hav no idea what its about. lol pair of underwear. thanks for that nyki28 :-) my cat became much more affectionate after she was done. i mean she loves sitting very close to me all of the time. TOO close. sometimes she sits ON me. like in the morning when i dont get up she sits on me and rubs and miows until i get up... she manages to take the cone off sometimes but i put it bak on. its funny wathcing a cat "thinking" that its washing itself but really its just licking the cone. hilarious. just 1 week left and she can take the cone off. :-D

  • The Style Showdown is back for another run this year. There will be three different rounds all with different themes. Dress up your pet to match the theme, and then you might have a chance of getting picked by TNT to be voted on by all of Neopia, so dress well! For entering your pet in the first round (starting now), you get a free item and 150 NC, so definitely enter your pet! (Even if you don't dress them up, you can still enter your pet and get the freebies.) and it takes 24 to 48 hours before NC shows up.
