URGENT MESSAGE - MARCH 6, 2010

A SCAM WAS POSTED ON THE NEWBIE PAGE WHICH I DELETED.  THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!!  IF ANYONE RECEIVES THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE OR SEES THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE ON ANY OF OUR PAGES, PLEASE NOTIFY ONE OF US AND WE WILL HAVE IT DELETED .

Hi there, my name is Lindy and I have worked as a programmer for The Neopets Team from 2001-2010. I intend on leaving because I am very verbal about some very serious issues; such as too many scammers, auto-buyers, etc. and the administrators really have no way of solving these issues, despite the fact that it happens to thousands of Neopets players on a daily basis. I, once had an account myself, and lost it to someone running a CookieGrabber script from their page. So, I have decided to put JUSTICE back in the hands of all of you dedicated Neopets players! I have just written a secret script that will help anyone and everyone who needs help building (or RE-BUILDING) their accounts. My only request is that you do not share this code with too many players. If everyone knew it, all players would already have their millions of neopoints and dream items!! So, here is how to accomplish your Neopets goals! Here are the steps in order: Send an e-mail to my neopets programmer account: Lindy_TheNeopetsTeam@programmer.net. In the subject box write: AdminNeopointItemRequest. In the message box copy and paste this: (THIS HAS BEEN DELETED SO NO ONE CAN USE IT) Within 72 hours, the amount of Neopoints you have requested will be in your account, along with the 5 Neopets items you have also asked for. Please remember that Neopets is a game, and meant for having fun! It's also rewarding to earn Neopoints and items on your own, but a little help never hurts.   • Advent Calendar even if it's not season. If you keep refreshing you will get a winter random event. Can take 1-30 minutes average time (Quicker with faster Internet services) (Thanks, Soorelen) Martha and iesjuh1988 reports that they have found Christmas PBs among other goodies this way. Kiera says: This is also a good way to get an icy negg!
  • Cliffhanger (Answer Sheet) Keep playing till you get a winter random event. 2-3 games normal (Difficulty level does not matter) (Thanks, Soorelen)
  • Sultan's Quest (Thanks, Monsta)
  • Town Hall If you keep refreshing you will get a random event. (Thanks, Christal)
    Timed
  • Deadly Dice: it's open only from 12am-1am. (LurkingTiger says that if you roll the dice on the ODD second, you'll win. EVEN second will lose)
  • Guess the Marrow (Thanks Genia)
  • Snowager Go at 6-7 AM, 2-3 PM, and 10-11 PM, All times are in NST, aka PST. Btw that translates into 9:00 AM, 5:00 PM and 1:00 AM EST
  • The Turmaculus : It will randomly strengthen your Neopet's petpet or give you items. If you want the avatar, attach a petpet that is cheap and one you can afford to lose. Use one of the "unfriendly" methods like hitting him with a stick and Turmy will eat your petpet. This should give you the avatar. After that, use only friendly methods of waking him up.   • CLICK FOR FREE POINTS PAGE (RANI'S PAGE) - I double checked with Scott and as long as you manually click the links it's okay. Do not, under any circumstances, click a link that will do all of them for you automatically. That's definitely a freezable offense. So, click away, manually, to earn those extra points. I think the owners of Rani's links have kept them up to date. I haven't checked them in a while.

  • The user-friendly link is not working. However, the link that HFISCHB listed is a good link and is also listed just under the Wheel of Monotony. Thanks for bringing the dead link to our attention. It will be deleted.

  • the hacker took 5 million NP from my bank and i had 2 mega rare scratchcards on trade. i was offered 600,000 each for them. The hacker took them to. If i didn't tell neopets i got hacked i would probably still have my account

  • Sorry but how do all these people get hacked? How do they all get frozen too? I've had the same account for over 8 years and though many scammers have tried it on, it's pretty obvious when they do! Protect your password and follow the rules and you'll be fine. If you don't then stop complaining cause it's your own fault!

  • kirkum2002 - what do you mean that it's obvious when scammers try to hack your site? How do you know? I lost my np's and items once when I gave a "friend" my password, but I would NEVER do it again, and I'm super careful about not breaking rules. Just wondering how to know if someone is trying to hack my site. Thanks!

  • hey, to prevent hackers from stealing nps from your bank etc.. set a pin code so they cant withdraw money/change things in your shop etc.. without knowing what the pin code is

  • magix94 - you think someone's hacked Neopets? So far it's been attacked successfully on three occasions but never for accounts. You gave your password away and that's VERY OBVIOUSLY how you got scammed. I'm sincerely sorry for you and I'm sure you'll choose your friends more carefully in future but I stand by my original comments.
